in my own time

Here are a few photographs of my work in the "In My Own Time" exhibition at Gray Owl Coffeein Norman, Oklahoma. My friends who were kind enough to send me their work to showcase were Lulu Wolf, Michael Lortz and Ruth Ann Borum-Loveland. Their work is quite beautiful and I recommend you check it out.

Thank you to Mike Beavers for helping me hang this show in the wee hours of the morning, I hope you and your crew enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed showing there.

So, nearly one year later I'm making my second post. What can I say? It's been a busy year.

My hands have been coated in earth these past 6 months and it couldn't feel more right.

These clay doilies measure 20 inches across and are made of whiteware clay.
More to come.

First attempt.

Cataloging and recording one's life can be a simple daily ritual or in my case an overwhelmingly daunting task. Today is day one and I'll continue on this way, counting as I go, as a way to connect with those I care for and those I've yet to meet.

So wish me luck, if you will, and I'll try not to disappoint.
